Right now, the blush pink trend is EVERYWHERE and I mean EVERYWHERE! Is it a fad? Is it here to stay? Honestly, I have no idea but I really hope that it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. As I’m sure that you may have noticed, I am kind of obsessed with it.
Growing up, I wanted nothing to do with the color pink. Everything that I wore was blue and only blue. Over the years, as I discovered my fashion identity, I wore less blue and more black. Honestly, I think that this is due to the fact that I live in New York. (FYI: New Yorkers wear a lot of black.) To offset the harshness of my excessive black wardrobe, I found that blush pink was the perfect contrast. As a result, my wardrobe has this whole “good girl gone bad” vibe that really speaks to me.
Like I said before, I find it so crazy that my blush pink obsession has reached the level that it has. Whenever I spot an amazing blush pink piece at the store, I have to stop every. single. time to admire its greatness. Don’t judge me.
One thing that I have learned from acquiring such a collection is that when you wear it, you need to rock it like a boss. This particular shade of pink stands out in a crowd so you need to own it at all times. Personally, I love wearing this delicate shade with edgy pieces. Whether it be paired with the color black, lace, or distressed denim, this color instantly softens an otherwise harsh look. For today’s look, I paired this amazing Forever 21 jacket with distressed jeans, a white tee, and nude heels. Although today’s look isn’t anything fancy, it brings out my inner girl boss. Blush pink is not a color for the weak. Come on, girls! Show them how you can own it and let your inner girl boss shine!
