In today’s world, so many people strive to be a trendsetter or influencer. And they are often asking themselves what they need to do to stand out. As a result, many fashionistas incorporate fashion trends into their everyday wardrobes. However, over the years, I have learned that there is a right and wrong way to do this. Don’t get me wrong, I love trends as much as the next person but as with anything in life, you need balance. I mean, look at my ruffle sweater above, for example. It’s trendy and cute but I bought it because it fits into my style and brand. I didn’t buy it because 50 girls on Instagram have it too. (Are you seeing where I am going with this?) Being your own blog photographer definitely isn’t as easy as it looks. Ever since I started my blog, I have been my own photographer. Occasionally, a family member with take pictures for me but most of the time, I take my own photos. Being my own photographer for this past year, I have learned a LOT about what goes into taking great photos. Today, I want to share with you 5 lessons that I have learned by being my own photographer.
So I don’t know about you guys, but walking into an Anthropologie store brings me great happiness. From their carefully curated window displays to their colorful vintage-inspired mannequins, everything is just so darn magical. That is, of course, until you see their not-so-magical price tags. Ouch! Reality strikes and your aren’t so happy-go-lucky anymore. However, just because Anthropologie can be pricey, doesn’t mean that you can’t buy it. So spring cleaning has been in full swing around here. As a fashion blogger, I have acquired quite a few goodies over the years. One of my guilty pleasures in life is shoes; I have quite a collection of them. With a growing collection, I needed to organize them utilizing all of the space available to me. So it is no surprise that I love to shop secondhand. I do shop retail but thrifting will always have a special place in my heart. As a successful seller on Poshmark for the past few years, I have conquered the world of resale. Although I do know quite a bit about this business, I am always looking to learn and develop within it. Learning from my fellow Poshmark friends has helped me to develop into the reseller that I am today. The first step to mastering the world of resale is to master the world of the thrift store.
