When it comes to making sales on Poshmark, I focus on 3 components: (1) Offers to Likers, (2) Re-listing, and (3) Sharing My Poshmark Closet. Each of these features has a unique purpose when it comes to my business but today, I wanted talk about sending out offers to likers. Let’s get to it!
So do you send out offers to likers? I’m hoping that you all incorporate it into your business strategy but if you don’t, that’s totally fine too! But first, do you know what I mean when I say ‘offers to likers?’ Offers to Likers references when a buyer likes an item and then the seller sends that buyer a discount on the item along with either free or discounted shipping. In order for the buyer to receive the offer, he or she must like the item.
Why Should I Send Offers to Likers?
Simple, it will help you to make more sales.
But how exactly?
To make this relevant, I want you to think of yourself shopping in a retail store. Let’s say that you see a dress that catches your eye and you decide to go over to the dress to check it out. While you are looking at the dress, a salesperson comes up to you and engages in conversation. In that conversation, the salesperson mentions that she can give you a 20% discount and can have it shipped to your house for free if they don’t have it in your size…. Does this sound familiar??
This is EXACTLY what you are doing when send out offers to likers. You are essentially trying to sweeten the deal in order to entice impulse buyers. If you think about it in this way, why wouldn’t you use it in your business strategy??
Now that we’ve looked at what Offers to Likers means, let’s talk about how I incorporate it into my business strategy. When it comes to offers to likers, many people choose one of two strategies: (1) Sending the Offer to Likers immediately after someone shows interested in an item or (2) Sending the Offer to Likers after a little bit of time passes in case the buyer wants to bundle items. There is no correct strategy here. Just know that there are a few different ways to go about it.
Personally, I use the first technique because I am really trying to guarantee that sale as quickly as possible. If the deal is good enough and the buyer gets discounted or FREE shipping, more than likely the buyer will accept. In order to provide this discount, I do have to take it into account when setting the original listing price. Usually my original price is slightly higher than market value in order to allow for these discounts and/or offers.
And there you have it! That is how I incorporate offers to likers in my business strategy. I hope that you found today’s post helpful!

Hello! Thanks so much for the article! Have you found that there’s a sweet spot that buyers gravitate to with offers? I’m never sure if they’d prefer more off with just a small shipping discount or a small discount with free shipping? Not sure what combo produces the most sales? Thanks!
