Hi friends! Sorry that I have been MIA the past few days. I’ve been really sick with a horrible cold that just won’t seem to go away. I’m hoping that after a few more days I’ll be back my normal self.
Today is that last day of August and I am VERY ready for September. With a new season comes new beginnings and I am really looking forward to that. Also, autumn months are usually accompanied with cooler temperatures and more outfit choices. Who doesn’t love that?
More importantly, this is a time for us to reflect on where we came from, where we are now, and where we want to go moving forward. Some may say that I am a dreamer but I have big plans for myself over the next few years. As a blogger for the past 8 months, I have learned some valuable lessons. One of the most important things that I have learned is that you need to differentiate yourself from your fellow bloggers. With blogging, there is a very cookie cutter approach to it that I don’t necessarily agree with. Not all of us have thousands of dollars that we can spend on clothes and shoes. Most of us are just normal women who just want to share our love of fashion with others.
I will be the first to tell you that I am a dreamer and I usually have a tendency of dreaming big. However, with big dreams comes big sacrifice but with big sacrifice comes big rewards. Like most bloggers before me will tell you, the first year of blogging is the hardest. There are some days where you wonder if you’re just wasting your time because you have low page views or you didn’t get as many Instagram likes as you wanted. Please don’t get discouraged but learn from these experiences. Let your bad days drive you in improving your blog, your Instagram, and yourself.
Finally, remember that you can do whatever you put your mind to. Please don’t let others tell you otherwise. Only you know what lies in your heart.
