Fashion is something that is unique to the individual. It allows us to showcase who we are to others through what we wear, who we wear, and how we wear it. The truth is what we wear affects how others perceive us and how we perceives ourselves. Good or bad, fashion is so much more than just the articles of clothing that you put on your body. With that in mind, I wear whatever I please 365 days a year.
I’m sure that it comes to no surprise to you that I love fashion. Seriously, I could spend hours in a store if I had the time and means to. Ever since I was a little girl, I would play dress up and pretend to go shopping on a pretty regular basis (aka every day). I loved the idea of getting dressed up and showing off my fabulous outfits to the world. Unfortunately for me, not much as changed since then. I still love shopping and strutting my stuff around town in my favorite outfits.
Over the years, I have worked hard to develop my signature style. These days my wardrobe revolves around black, white, grey, tan, and blush pink. Thinking back to my college days, I would have never worn what I am wearing now. Now, I look forward to taking fashion risks and trying styles that I would have never worn previously. With fashion as with anything else in life, without risk there is no reward. Through trial-and-error, I learned to wear clothes that made me feel good on the inside and told others my story from the outside. Once I did that, my already high self-confidence skyrocketed and I received more positive attention from people. Who doesn’t want that?
This is why I wear what I like 365 days a year. When I wear what makes me feel good, others are attracted to the positive vibes that I radiate. People want to learn about me and I am able to learn about them. Remember: fashion is so much more than just the articles of clothing that you put on your body.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
