If you are a fashionista or a reseller, you may know a thing or two about Hunter rain boots. This past year, they collaborated with Target for a limited edition collection (but more on that HERE). I’ve also talked about my own Hunter rain boots HERE. But today, I want to share how I thrifted a pair or BRAND NEW Hunter rain boots for way less than retail. And if that wasn’t already awesome enough, they were part of a Hunter collaboration with Mackenzie Childs. (Also, there is a post on Poshmark and brand collaborations HERE.) How cool is that!!!
These boots were definitely an unexpected find! I stopped into a thrift store that I rarely ever visit because something inside of me said to stop there. This may sound odd, but right before I find something amazing at a thrift store, my intuition kicks in. There is usually a little voice in my head that screams a brand to me and then once I stop in said thrift store, I find something from that brand. It sounds crazy but it is almost always the case. I guess that I have a very strong intuition or something.
Anyway, I was walking through the shoe aisle looking for boots mainly and right when I was about to give up, I looked up and they were staring right at me. I immediately saw the Hunter logo and knew that I needed to inspect these boots closer. To my amazement, they still had the original stickers on the bottom and from what I could see, looked brand new. To make it even better, I looked at the price sticker on them and was shocked at how under-priced they were considering they were both Hunter boots and a collaboration brand.
I’ve been going back and forth on what to do with them. I finally decided to put them up on Poshmark and see how they do. I know that they have very high comps and I’m really curious to see how long it takes them to sell, in addition to, how high they sell for. I’ll let you know! If you are interested in them, please visit my Poshmark closet, @recycledroses!
