Every year, ThredUp releases a Resale Report on their website. This Resale Report provides resellers with VERY valuable information on the current and future state of the resale industry. As I’m sure you know, the resale industry is going to rise exponentially over the next 5 to 10 years. So if you haven’t jumped on board yet, what in the world are you waiting for? Today, I want to highlight some of the main takeaways from the ThredUp 2018 Resale Report and share my thoughts on the future of the resale industry.
Okay, so let’s start by taking a quick look at today’s outfit. What do you think was bought retail and what do you think was thrifted???…… Answer: the dress, earrings, and purse were bought at retail stores (at a discount) and my shoes were thrifted for $6.99. So you are probably thinking, what does this have to do with anything? I am showing that I am one of the many women creating a blended wardrobe of both retail and thrift pieces. This is a common trend nowadays, especially among millennials like myself.
