Happy 2024 everybody! I hope that you had a great holiday season and I look forward to sharing more of my reselling journey with you this year! At the end of 2023, I decided to spend more time sourcing online as I could find some great pieces for my reselling business without having to leave my home. Specifically, I was looking for luxury items that I could sell for higher profits than my typical thrift store finds. After many hours of searching, researching, and scrolling, I was able to find some promising pieces for my reselling business and today I wanted to share those finds with you.
Luxury Items I Sourced From theRealReal
Laurence Dacade Nice Embroidered Denim Slide Sandals (With Box) – These shoes retail for approximately $515 and are currently available on at Bergdorf Goodman in select sizes for $257. Since they are a recent style, popular size, and in good condition for a profitable price, I decided to source them.
Salvatore Ferragamo Strappy Leather Sandals- These sandals retail for approximately $730 and are currently available on select sites for a discounted price. As these sandals are a recent style, great size (US 8.5), and in excellent condition, I decided to source them.
Antolina Yellow Tie Front Open Toe Sandals– This is a new-to-me brand that I decided to do some research on before sourcing them. Antolina is an Italian brand that specializes in vegan footwear and shoes similar to these retail for approximately $300. I decided to source these sandals as the price was right and they would be great summer shoes, especially while on vacation.
Sleeper Michelin Floral Midi Linen Nap Dress in Garden Rose- Sleeper is another new-to-me brand that I spent some time researching prior to purchasing this dress. I learned that Sleeper is a luxury loungewear brand that specializes in dresses, pajamas, and accessories. After looking up comps, I realized that this is a great brand to source as their pieces will typically sell relatively quickly and for great prices.
NWT Veronica Beard Ruta Stripe Cotton Dress– This NWT dress from Veronica Beard retailed for approximately $388 and I was able to source it on theRealReal for $15 during one of their sales. Veronica Beard is a fairly popular brand and based on the style and comps, I felt very confident picking up this piece.
Rococo Sand Maxi Dress in Romantic Floral- Rococo Sand is a new-to-me brand that is sold on REVOLVE. This dress retailed for approximately $384 and is no longer available on the website. While looking up comps, I found that this dress is currently listed for $200+ on Poshmark and was popular at the time that it was sold. With shoppers starting to shop for summer, I thought that this would be a great dress to source for my reselling business.
Alemais Fenella Mini Dress– I absolutely loved this dress when I stumbled upon it on theRealReal and was considering buying it for myself! This dress retails for approximately $395 and is no longer available on the Alemais website. Alemais is a new-to-me brand that I will be sourcing in the future as their pieces are beautiful and have a high resale value.
SER.O.YA Kostas Silk Shirt- SER.O.YA is a brand sold on REVOLVE and this top retailed for approximately $495. Although this top is no longer sold on REVOLVE, SER.O.YA has a great resale value and is popular with consumers. Since this top is silk and has a fun seashell print, I thought that it would be a great piece for this upcoming summer season.
Lisa Says Gah Geometric Skirt- Lisa Says Gah is a popular brand that I have picked up in the past for resale. I love this skirt as it has a fun geometric print which would be perfect for spring. Additionally, the pant version of this print was featured on the tv show, Good Trouble.
Love Moschino Animal Print Tie Neck Dress- Love Moschino is a sub-brand of Moschino and is available to consumers at a more affordable price point. Many of these pieces have fun, whimsical designs that are consumer favorites. This dress was a great piece to source as animal print is a closet staple and comps looked great!
FRAME Smocked Floral High-Neck Shift Dress in Off White Multi- This beautiful FRAME silk dress was sold at ShopBop and REVOLVE for $525 retail. Although this dress is no longer available, it was featured on the red carpet and has comps over $100 on Poshmark. I was able to find this dress for only $15 so I picked it up for my reselling business.
Hunter Bell Maxwell Dress in Pink- Hunter Bell is another new-to-me brand that I stumbled upon while looking for inventory on theRealReal. This dress in particular retails for $495 and is still available online on select sites. Comps for this brand are great and I highly recommend picking it up if you are able to find it for a profitable price.
