As a reseller, I am constantly trying to figure out what I can do to improve my business. A few months ago, I started running social media audits on my Instagram account to analyze the activity on my posts. Once I started doing this consistently, I noticed an increase Instagram post engagement. After it worked so well on Instagram, I thought to myself, why not run a Poshmark audit?! Today, I wanted to walk you through how to run a Poshmark audit and provide the link to you!
Running a Poshmark audit is easier than you might think! Just follow my steps below and you can get through it in no time!
Focus on the Big Picture
Your mission statement is probably the most important sentence that you will ever write for your business. It should express your business’ vision, goals, and purpose. A strong mission statement can help you succeed in your goals while a weak one can deter you from them. When it comes to creating a mission statement for Poshmark, focus on answering (1) What do you want your closet to say to your buyers? and (2) What message are you trying to portray to the Poshmark community?
Strategy, Strategy, Strategy
Plain and simple: your strategy is what is going to make or break you in this business. I would strongly suggest creating a list of your top sharing, listing, and social media strategies. List the items that work for your business and the ones that do not. Learn from others in your selling community and try new techniques to find what works best for you and your business.
Set Goals
Be sure to set goals for your business. Whether you set them quarterly, monthly, weekly, or daily, be sure to follow and hold yourself accountable to them. As yourself, What would you like to accomplish by ___?
Look At the Stats
Take a look at the statistics: target demographics, top brands, and average price points. Analyze your closet’s demographics, determine the top 5-10 brands that sell well for you, and calculate your average price point. By tracking these items regularly, you can make smarter buying decisions for your business.
Analyze Your Listings
You’ve probably heard this a million times before but regularly analyze your listings. Make sure your cover photos are the best that they can possibly be at times because they are what will potentially make you a sale. Also, ensure that your prices are competitive and that your listings have all the necessary information in them. When it comes to your Poshmark Audit, create a list of your top 3-5 active listings and analyze them heavily. Look at each item’s interest level, availability in the Poshmark market, price point, and listing content.
These are just a few of the items that you should be evaluating when doing a Poshmark audit. To guide you with your audit, please use the template above and make sure to sign up for my emails below for more free Poshmark tools.
