Happy Monday! Sorry that today’s post went up a little bit later than normal. I recently noticed that some of my photos were blurry after loading them into WordPress. After hours of trying to figure out why, I may have found the solution. I’ll let you know more about that at a later date… Now, onto my Poshmark words of wisdom… How many of you have noticed a significant amount of offline transactions on Poshmark lately? In one night, I could have anywhere from 5-10 offline transaction comments within a 1-2 hour period. Not cool. Please don’t let this anger you. Instead, handle it with grace, professionalism, and class. Here’s how:
How to Handle Poshmark Offline Transactions:
1. Report the User
First, report the user. Trying to conduct a transaction off the Poshmark app is not only really shady but it is against Poshmark’s policy. Typically, here is how one of these messages will read:
” Hello! I’m so excited that I found this. Kindly, reply back to me email xxxxx@gmail.com with final price and condition if you still have for sale. I’m presently at work” <– I actually received this exact message.
These messages are typically found in the comment’s section of a listing and can become very spam-like. If this happens, please report the user so that Poshmark is aware of the user and can disable the account if needed.
2. Block the User
After you report the user, block the user. These two steps typically go hand in hand. Hopefully, by doing this, the comments will stop appearing on your listings. Also, the user will not be able to spam your page or bother you again.
3. Don’t Respond But if You Must, Keep it Professional
Finally, if you can, please don’t respond to these comments. However, if you must, please handle it with professionalism. Here is an example of something you could write back:
” @username Thank you for your interest in this item! Unfortunately, I do not participate in offline transactions as they are against Poshmark policy. If you are interested, in making a reasonable offer on this item, please feel free to do so through the app. Thank you and have a great day!”
See how this message is short, sweet, and to the point. Handle it with professionalism and class in order to keep your reputation as a buyer in good standing but also, get your point across.
