Poolside at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort While we were in Fort Lauderdale, we stayed at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort. This family friendly resort is right on the scenic Fort Lauderdale Beach waterfront. Located directly on the Atlantic Ocean, this hotel is sure to make any beach-lover like myself giddy. As this was our family getaway, we made sure to relax as much as possible. And for my family, that means hanging out by the pool for hours at a time. One fun feature of the Pelican Grand Beach Resort is that they have the only lazy river in Fort Lauderdale. So naturally, I spent most of my time in the water floating around the lazy river with my family.

Overall, the Pelican Grand Beach Resort was a great place to getaway to. The staff was very friendly and more importantly, it is budget-friendly which makes it the perfect place for a family vacay!
