As a reseller, I am always looking for new opportunities to grow my business and expand beyond my niche. This past year, I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and began experimenting with Disney pieces. I was first introduced to the world of Disney during the pandemic when Disney items made their way into Burlington stores (More on that HERE). Ever since, I have been hooked on the Disney culture and have been sourcing their products regularly. In fact, Disney is my highest grossing brand of 2022 so far which tells me that there is a high demand for Disney merchandise in the resale market. Today, I wanted to share with you some of the most sought after Disney pieces in the market in case you ever stumble upon them during your thrifting journey.
Stoney Clover Lane x Disney
Stoney Clover Lane products are a favorite among Disney lovers, especially their Disney collections. Over the years, Stoney Clover Lane has created collections with various Disney princesses and Mickey & Friends. Stoney Clover Lane is known for backpacks, fanny packs, patches, and various size pouches which range between $35-$200 in price. Within the resale market, these items hold their value very well and will sell relatively close to their retail price, especially if the print is no longer in production.
Dooney and Bourke x Disney
Dooney and Bourke has collaborated with Disney for many years. These collaboration pieces are sold exclusively on Disney websites and at various locations on Disney property. Every few months, Dooney and Bourke will release various Disney themed prints that are featured on handbags, wallets, and pouches. These pieces are highly desired by Disney collectors and will sell for $50+ in the resale market depending on the print and style of the piece.
Spirit Jerseys
Disney Spirit Jerseys are probably my favorite item to find when sourcing. Spirit Jerseys are highly desirable within the resale market. If you have been to a Disney park recently, then you will know that Spirit Jerseys retail for $80 with some being even higher in price. Fun Fact: They actually don’t print prices on Spirit Jersey tags in the parks because it provides them with the flexibility to increase or decrease the price at any given time. If you ever find a Spirit Jersey in good condition, I would highly suggest picking it up. Depending on the condition and print, they can sell for $40+.
Loungefly Backpacks
Another item that Disney lovers are always on the lookout for are Loungefly backpacks, purses, and wallets. Specifically, people are always looking for their backpacks. Each month, Loungefly will release different prints on their website and allow the items to be pre-ordered. Many of these prints will sell out before they are even released which has people turning to the resale market to find particular characters and prints. Loungefly items are typically sold in various locations on Disney property, the Disney website, Box Lunch, and Loungefly directly. Hot Topic also carries Loungefly bags that are made of lesser quality materials. Within the resale market, these backpacks will easily sell for more than $50+ each.
Starbucks Tumblers and Mugs
As a reseller, Starbucks items are always on my radar but when it comes to Disney items, Starbucks items are of particular interest to me. Whenever a new Disney x Starbucks item is released within the parks, people go crazy over them. This causes many items to sell out within the same day of release. Within the resale market, Disney Starbucks items are definitely desirable items and can sell for $20+ depending on the print and style.
