Many people reach out and ask me where I thrift, how much I pay for goods, and what a “thrift haul” normally consists of. Today, I wanted to share with you some of that information. To make a long story short, I shop mainly at Salvation Army and Thrifty Shopper stores and occasionally, I stop at Plato’s Closet and a small consignment store near me. The amount that I pay for these items varies significantly. Some items will be $1 and others will be $20; it really depends on what the item is and how much I resell it for. Today, I wanted to share with you a glimpse of what a normal thrift haul looks like for me. All of the items that I am sharing today are items that I found while thrifting; some items I did take home with me and others I did not. I hope that you enjoy this post!
Find #1: NWT Old Navy Power Jean– These looked promising at first, however, after looking up comps, they were selling for around $15 which was not good for resale. Especially after costing $9.99 at the thrift store.
Find #2: NWT Maidenform Shapewear– I think that this piece cost $3.99- I cannot remember- but after looking up comps, I wasn’t entirely convinced that this was a good buy. Comps were all over the place and I didn’t feel confident with my find.
Find #3: Splendid Chukka Boots– I found these booties for a few dollars but chose not to purchase them as Splendid shoes are very hit or miss. I just didn’t think that they were a good buy overall.
Find #4: Who What Wear Polka Dot Tank– This tank was only $2.50 and I decided to purchase this piece for myself. I love going thrifting and unexpectedly finding pieces for myself.
Find #5: Franco Sarto Metallic Crossbody- This is a NWOT Franco Sarto crossbody that I did pick up while thrifting. It was priced pretty inexpensively and had decent comps so I figured that it would be a good buy.
