Although it is still July, the fall fashion season is quickly approaching. As a reseller, that means that this is the time to start preparing for the upcoming back-to-school reselling season. For many resellers, the fall and winter months (aka Q4) are the busiest periods of the reselling calendar year. In order to be fully prepared for this upcoming back-to-school season, I thought that I would share with you some of the most popular ready-to-wear trends for fall/winter 2021-2022.
Sweater Vests
Sweater vests were very popular in the 1990’s and early 2000’s and are now making a come back. These sweater vests are re-emerging in oversized fits, classic patterns, and neutral colors. Sweater vests are going to be a very popular item this upcoming fall fashion season so be sure to stock up your closet with them!
Cutout Tops
The cutout top trend started to emerge earlier this year and has only gained in popularity since. This trend is not only limited to tops as it can also be found in dresses, sweaters, hoodies, and tanks. The cutout design focuses on emphasizing the upper chest area with minimal exposure.
Lilac
This fall/winter trend is very unexpected. Normally, we would associate a color like lilac as a spring/summer trend. This season, this soft color is extremely popular on the runway. Lilac can be found circulating the fashion scene in the form of accessories, shoes, jackets, dresses, and more!
Lime Green
Another color that appears out of place for the fall/winter season is lime green. This color is appearing on in many runway shows in shoes, purses, and accessories.
Colorful Leather
Colorful leather was a popular trend around 2010 and is now re-emerging 10 years later. However, this time around, the colorful leather trend is being utilized in jackets under more muted tones. Personally, I love the soft green trend (see picture) and would love to have a leather jacket or shorts in that color!
Sparkly
Sparkles are a huge trend this coming fall/winter season! They can be seen all over the runway in tops, sweaters, and dresses. I have a feeling that this trend is going to be super popular this upcoming season as I have been selling a TON of sparkly dresses in the past few weeks.
Leopard Print Coats
Leopard print has a become a fall wardrobe staple in the last few years. This season is no different as leopard print coats will be one of the dominating trends this fashion season. I would be sure to stock up on jackets as they are great items to resell this time of year.
