After the success of my post, Finding the Perfect Weekender Bag, I thought that this week I would launch my 3-day travel series, Adventure Awaits. I LOVE to travel and explore new places whenever I can so I am always on the hunt for the best travel tips and tricks! Today, I wanted to focus on sharing with you some of my favorite travel do’s and don’ts:
DO: Pack a Jacket or Sweater– Whether you are traveling through an airport, driving in a car, or sitting in a train, it is ALWAYS a good idea to pack a lightweight jacket or sweater. Travel conditions are not always ideal so it is better to be prepared than not. My travel go-to is my Black Leather Jacket by River’s Island. Not only is it perfect for cold airports but when worn with a comfy travel outfit, it keeps you looking chic!
Here are some of my favorite lightweight options:
DON’T: Forget to Find a Chic Carry-On- Moving your items from place to place can become frustrating if you don’t have the right travel pieces. (I learned this the hard way.) Do yourself a favor and invest in a carry-on that is durable, chic, and has 360-degree spinning wheels. Your carry-on will travel with you everywhere you go so it is worth taking the extra time and consideration when choosing the best one for you. My Heys carry-on was a Christmas gift from my parents for when I was traveling between New York and Florida. (You can find Heys Luggage- HERE). I love how chic it looks while traveling and it fits all of my necessities with ease.

DO: Accessorize and Prioritize– Traveling can be hectic so it is important to make sure that you have all of your important documents within reach. When I travel, I usually bring a small purse with me and keep my passport, ticket, and TSA-approved quart bag somewhere that can be easily accessed. For some added flare, I like to accessorize with a fun hat and sunglasses. (Don’t judge me.)
Add some flare:
I hope that my travel do’s and don’ts were helpful to you and check back on Wednesday for more travel tips and tricks!
Be classy. Be confident. Be strong.
