People are always asking me to share my Poshmark sales with them. Honestly, I don’t mind sharing my sales with you all but it is something that I have went back and forth about doing in the past. In the past few months, more and more people have expressed interest in learning about what sells for me and my closet. With so much interest in it, I thought that I would take the opportunity to share some of my sales from the past 2 months with you today. Remember: These are NOT all of my sales from the past 2 months. However, I do want to provide you with an idea of what sells for me and my closet, in addition to, some trends I am noticing in sales in my Poshmark closet. Let’s get started!
First, I’m going to share with you some screenshots of some items that have sold in my Poshmark closet recently:
What are some trends that you notice in my sales?
Trend #1: Items are CLEARLY and ACCURATELY Presented to Buyers
Trend #2: Most Buyers are HAPPY with their Purchases
Trend #3: Similar Brands are Selling Consistently
These are all great surface trends to pay attention to but there is SO much more to it than that. Next, let me share with you some trends that I noticed once I really dug into the data:
Trend #1: The 3 biggest items to stock up on right now are…. BOOTS, OUTERWEAR, and SWEATERS– These items may seem like a no-brainer but my data continuously supports the fact that these 3 items will be the biggest sellers over the next few months.
Trend #2: People LOVE bundles, especially during Back to School and the holiday season. Definitely be sure to take advantage of this and proactively be offering bundles to people who like multiple items in your Poshmark closet.
Trend #3: Pay attention to what types of items are selling and what brands are selling. Lately, I’ve been selling a lot denim (specifically Madewell and dark wash, high waisted skinny jeans) and leather leggings. Also, I’ve noticed a large amount of items selling from J Crew, Zara, and Torrid which will in turn, allow me to buy more of these items.
Now that we’ve looked through my sales, let’s take a moment to look at yours… Ask yourself:
What items/brands have been selling for me? Is it selling because of the brand, style, or price?
Am I sourcing inventory that is in high-demand or am I only picking up items that I personally like?
What are some advantages of my current method of making sales? What could I do to improve upon it?
Please use these questions to help you in building your successful Poshmark business. Good Luck Everyone and Happy Poshing!
