Happy Monday everyone! This weekend, I went on my usual thriftventures and found this amazing dress for only $5! I know, crazy, huh?! When I typically go thrifting, I go mainly to source for Poshmark. However, every once in a while, I do find something for myself. When I went this past weekend, I happened to find a few things to add to my wardrobe which is very exciting! My style is very particular and normally, I have a very difficult time finding pieces that suit me. But for whatever reason, someone donated a TON of Zara and higher end brands which was absolutely perfect for me! Now, back to this dress…
So I absolutely love this dress! It is made of viscose, making it very breathable and it is long enough to cover everything. Being the fashionista that I am, I love mixing high-end and low-end pieces to create a one-of-a-kind look. This look is no exception! Here are some tips on how to elevate your thrift store finds into high end looks:
1. Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize
First, one of the easiest ways to elevate your look is to dress it up with some luxe accessories. For this look, I added a black leather Rebecca Minkoff belt to give it a little something extra. The leather and studded details on this belt make it look more expensive that it actually is. In addition to a belt, you could also add some fun earrings or a necklace to complete the look!
2. Step Up the Footwear
Another way that you can elevate this look is by stepping up your footwear. As I’m sure you know by now, I am a shoe lover and I have no shame in that! By adding a pair of leather heels, suede sandals, or velvet flats, you can make your outfit look luxe in minutes. For this look, I added a pair of nude suede sandals by Steve Madden to step up this outfit.
3. Hold Your Head Up High
Finally, the easiest way to elevate your look is to be confident in your outfit. When you dress with confidence, you will always look like a million bucks regardless of the price tag!
