Selling on Poshmark and managing Recycled Roses while juggling the responsibilities that come with adulthood is no easy task. As I’ve shared with you previously, I am a 4 year Poshmark veteran and a blogger newbie (well sort-of). When I first started both ventures, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The amount of time and energy that I have invested into both is equivalent to my full-time day job. Crazy, huh? Well, by the grace of God, I have been fortunate enough to successfully manage everything that I have put my mind to. Here are some tips on how I’ve managed to succeed through all of the chaos:
1. Divide Your Time
This might seem like common sense but it is something we need to talk about. I have a crazy (and I mean crazy) work schedule. One nice thing about where I work is that my hours are pretty consistent. As a result, I can plan out my day as “what I can accomplish before work” and “what I can accomplish after work.” Typically, I use this time to focus on taking/editing blog photos and sourcing/shipping inventory for Poshmark. Also, I try to incorporate some “me-time” into the mix, which typically involves either going to the gym or shopping.
2. Make the Most of Your Time
Along with dividing your time, you need to try to manage your time efficiently. There are only 24 hours in a day so you need to be sure to utilize every second of it. This is very important when you are trying to juggle many tasks in a short period of time. Personally, I am a night owl so I will stay up past midnight if I have to, in order to get everything accomplished for that day. As much as I dislike getting up early, I will do it if necessary, to accomplish my goals for any given day. Talk about commitment.
3. Don’t Be Afraid to Ask for Help
Sometimes, I need to remind myself that I am only one person and that I can’t do it all. Please don’t be afraid to ask for help. Whether it be with taking pictures or coming up with a new blog post idea, ask for others’ guidance when needed. In order to succeed in this world, we need to remember to work together and support one another.
