Are you a Poshmark user looking for ways to improve your closet? Well, I have just what you are looking for! Today, I want to discuss ways to improve the look and feel of your closet. By doing so, hopefully you will make more sales and gain a solid following. Let’s go!
Poshmark has been part of my life for the past 3.5 years now. Over the years, I have not only made mistakes but also discoveries. First, this blog was not around during my early Poshmark days. In fact, I had no idea that blogging would even be part of life back then. Back in those days, I was a college sophomore looking for a way to make some extra money. Poshmark was the perfect opportunity to do just that.
Back in my early Posh days, I had no idea about staging, the rule of three’s, and all that fun stuff. I just knew that I needed to make my closet look clean, crisp, and honest. During my first year, I decided that it would be smart to test the waters and not get too involved. However, I did build a pretty solid following during that time. My following grew so rapidly that I was actually approached by people to feature their items on my Poshmark closet.
After a brief Poshmark hiatus, I revisited the app with the intention of creating a successful brand for myself. At this point, my blog was up and running. With that in mind, I knew that I needed to combine the two in order to get to where I wanted to be.
So let’s talk about your Poshmark closet…
Your closet is your most important tool in succeeding on this app. When people visit your closet for the first time, they are making quick judgment on you and your items. Therefore, your images really need to appeal to buyers though their simplicity, quality, and creativity. Of these, I would focus on simplicity so that buyers are drawn to your items for sale and not the background noise. Also, you may notice that I prefer to keep my backgrounds white. The reason being is that it fits with my brand but more importantly, it reassures buyers that my items are from a clean environment.
Now, if you have the new Poshmark app updated on your phone, you will notice that you have the option to add a few extra pictures. Do it! Pick a profile picture that best represents you and your brand, in addition to, an appropriate banner. My profile picture and banner image are consistent across my blog, Instagram, and Poshmark accounts. By keeping images consistent, I have noticed an increase in traffic on all three platforms.
I hope that you found this helpful and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!
