Hi friends! Today’s post is the beginning of a whole new section on the blog. As many of you who have been following me know, I LOVE being part of the whole thrifting/resale world. It has taken over my life in the best possible way. Although I love shopping the latest in-store trends, thrifting will always hold an extra special place in my heart.
As a result, I am introducing a new section to the blog titled, Designer Finds. Being the avid thrifter that I am, I love seeing what others find on their thrifting adventures so why not share my finds with you?? There are SO many misconceptions about thrifting and I really want to try to lay them to rest. Where else can you find Chanel, Jimmy Choo, and Gucci for under $5??
So what happens after I find these amazing deals? Good question! The pieces that speak to me (and are my size) find a home in my closet while the others find a home elsewhere through Poshmark. For more on Poshmark, click the Poshmark link on the top menu.
Finally, let’s talk about today’s finds. So yesterday, I stopped into my local Clothes Mentor as I hadn’t been there in a few weeks. While looking through the purse section, I saw a black Arcadia tote bag on the front of one of the racks. Knowing that my mom loves Arcadia bags, I scooped it up immediately! Once I saw that it was only $22, I had to buy it. With my adrenaline pumping, I strolled over to the designer purse section where I spotted the Reed Krakoff bag shown above. For those of you unfamiliar with the brand, Reed Krakoff bags are very expensive. In addition to their high retail prices, they are no longer in production resulting in a very high resale value. The bag that I scooped above for under $100 holds a resale value between $700- $1000. Not a bad deal I suppose…
Here’s some more detailed pics for you:
