Did you know that many retailers are launching their own resale programs? As a reseller, I have been very fascinated with these programs and have even tried a few out myself! Today, I wanted to share with you 7 of my favorite retail resale programs that are worth checking out in 2025.
1. Ulla Johnson Pre-Loved
This platform allows customers to buy and sell preloved Ulla Johnson pieces for a fraction of the retail price. Customers can easily list their own items on the platform by taking a few photos and answering a few questions about the item. Once the listing has been reviewed by Ulla Johnson, the item is listed for sale on their pre-loved platform. After an item sells, the seller is responsible for shipping the item to the buyer within a few days. Once the item is received by the buyer and approved, then the seller will receive either 70% of the selling price in a cash payout or 100% of the selling price in Ulla Johnson store credit.
As of today, I have successfully sold 2 items on the Ulla Johnson pre-loved website and am very happy with my experience.
2. BA&SH Pre-Loved
This platform is identical to the Ulla Johnson platform in every aspect. Customers can easily list their own items on the platform by taking a few photos and answering a few questions about the item. Once the listing has been reviewed by BA&SH, the item is listed for sale on their pre-loved platform. After an item sells, the seller is responsible for shipping the item to the buyer within a few days. Once the item is received by the buyer and approved, then the seller will receive either 70% of the selling price in a cash payout or 100% of the selling price in BA&SH store credit.
I have a few items listed on this platform but unfortunately none of my items have sold thus far.
3. Faherty Second Wave
This platform is identical to both Ulla Johnson and BA&SH. Customers can easily list their own items on the platform by taking a few photos and answering a few questions about the item. Once the listing has been reviewed by Faherty, the item is listed for sale on their pre-loved platform. After an item sells, the seller is responsible for shipping the item to the buyer within a few days. Once the item is received by the buyer and approved, then the seller will receive either 70% of the selling price in a cash payout or 100% of the selling price in Faherty store credit.
I have successfully sold one item using this platform and it has been a positive experience.
4. Levi’s Secondhand
This trade-in program is an in-store only program where customers can bring in up to 5 items at a time to be reviewed for a Levi’s store credit. Customers are encouraged to bring in any shorts, denim, or trucker jackets that they no longer wear. Based on the age, condition, and label of the item, sellers can expect to receive between $5-$30 per item. The trade-in value of the items is then converted to a Levi’s gift card.
I have never used this program but it can be worth it if you have any items from Levi’s premium labels (Made & Crafted and Levi’s Vintage Clothing).
5. Cuyana Revive
This platform is identical to Ulla Johnson, BA&SH, and Faherty. Customers can easily list their own items on the platform by taking a few photos and answering a few questions about the item. Once the listing has been reviewed by Cuyana, the item is listed for sale on their pre-loved platform. After an item sells, the seller is responsible for shipping the item to the buyer within a few days. Once the item is received by the buyer and approved, then the seller will receive either 70% of the selling price in a cash payout or 100% of the selling price in Cuyana store credit.
I have never used this platform but would highly consider it if I had any Cuyana items.
*NOTE: If you choose the store credit option through February 28, 2025, you will receive 110% in store credit.
6. Carhartt Reworked
This trade-in program allows customers to send in pre-loved Carhartt pieces for a store credit. The brand is specifically looking for: Jackets & Coats ($25 credit), Bib Overalls & Coveralls ($20 credit), Hoodies, Sweats, & Vests ($15 credit), Shirt Jacs & Button-Downs ($10 credit), and Pants, Jeans,& Shorts ($5 credit). In order for these items to be accepted, they must be free of any damage, contain no pet hair, have minimal pilling, and have no more than moderate fading. Additionally, all items must be from within the past 10 years. Trade-ins can be done by mail or in-store and sellers will be paid once the items have been reviewed.
I have never used this program but it may be worth it if you have any Carhartt jackets or coats from within the past 10 years.
7. Canada Goose Generations
This trade-in program allows customers to send in pre-loved Canada Goose items for a store credit. In order to trade-in an item, customers will need to locate the item on the brand’s catalog. Canada Goose will then send the seller an estimate for the item’s trade-in value. A flat $25 fee will be removed from the seller’s earnings to cover the shipping costs associated with sending the item in for review. Once the item has been reviewed, the seller will receive a Canada Goose gift card that can be used on their website and physical stores.
I have never used this program but am considering it as I have a Canada Goose jacket to sell and am looking to buy a new one.
