Happy Monday! This past year, I have been working really hard to educate myself on this business. Specifically, I have been reading books on fashion, marketing, and business. Coming from a background in psychology and biology, I have taught myself everything that I know about running a blog and resale business. This was not something that came naturally to me so I have had to learn a lot along the way. So although I have learned a thing or two about this blog/resale world, there is always something new to learn. And that is where today’s blog post comes into play. Today, I want to share with you guys 5 of my favorite books and how they have helped me as a blogger and reseller. So here are the 5 books every Girl Boss should read:
1.The Little Dictionary of Fashion: A Guide to Dress Sense for Every Woman by Christian Dior
First, this book should be a staple for every fashionista out there. In this book, Dior talks about everything from what to wear to a formal event to how to be a woman with style and grace. The author ensures that the reader of this book knows how to be a woman with class, simplicity, and most importantly— style. One thing that I found interesting about this book is that at times, it discusses fashion through the eyes of Dior during the height of his career, the 1940’s and 1950’s. Obviously, fashion has changed since then but the classics will always remain classics and this book is a great reference for that. (Buy it HERE.)

#GirlBoss is one of my favorite books because it is all about how the ultimate Girl Boss, Sophia Amoruso made it in this business. Sophia Amoruso is very relatable and makes this book enjoyable to read. Amoruso leaves out no details as she explains her journey from selling vintage clothes on Ebay to becoming the founder of Nasty Gal and CEO of #GIRLBOSS. This book is for those who aren’t afraid to create their own path in order to achieve immeasurable success. Amoruso’s unique perspective has inspired me to keep working towards my dreams, my way.
