Lessons from a New BloggerFor today’s post, I would like to get a little personal with you and share what I’ve learned from this exciting journey so far and what’s ahead in the near future. When I started Recycled Roses back in January, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. In all honesty, this entire process started on whim. I had just left graduate school in Florida,was out of a job, and basically trying to figure out how to get my life in some sort of working order. While living in Florida, I stumbled across power bloggers Rachel Parcell and Emily Gemma’s webpages and knew that these women were on to something big. DIY Colorful Tassel Necklace Hi friends! Today, I am excited to share with you my latest DIY. I have been feeling extremely creative the past few days and I needed to find a way to let out my creative juices. For a little inspiration, I headed over to Michaels to check out their jewelry section. While perusing down one of the aisles, I saw some fun leather bands and decided to explore them further. I went to look at something on one of the lower shelves and spotted a colorful set of leather tassels that immediately inspired me. After a little brainstorming, I decided to make the colorful, tassel necklace that I am wearing in the above pic. This DIY is right on trend and super easy to make! (Scroll down for the full DIY)

It is important for my closet to look amazing at all times. I am always on the move so I need everything to be organized and easy to get to when I’m getting ready for the day. Over the years, I have developed an extensive wardrobe but my closet has not always been accommodating to my love of fashion.
